Timothy Daniel Brownlee is an Architect with a Design Office in Macerata and a PhD candidate at the University of Camerino. He works mainly on residential design, interiors, energy efficiency and sustainability. He graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from the Architecture College of Ascoli Piceno: the thesis was awarded the “Premio di architettura e cultura urbana” award at the University of Camerino in 2006 and received an honorable mention during the “2008 Archiprix Award” in Turin. He obtained a second level master’s degree in “Sustainable Architecture” in 2007, at the Bologna University. Since 2010 he has been a “Casaclima Consultant” at the Casaclima Agency in Bolzano.
His research is focused on how urban spaces can be used in effective ways, improving the life quality of inhabitants, using outdoor temporary architectures as hybrid and variable places, or as flexible containers for multiple activities;
