Biography

Timothy Daniel Brownlee is an architect and holds a PhD in Technologies for Architecture. His work spans public space, residential and school buildings, interiors, and cultural venues, with a focus on environmental and technological design, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

At the University of Camerino (SAAD “Eduardo Vittoria,” Ascoli Piceno) he is an adjunct professor, working on climate change adaptation, nature-based solutions, and the design of outdoor urban space — including temporary and reversible architectures used as hybrid, flexible places for multiple activities. As a freelance architect he works as designer and project manager, takes part in design competitions, and has completed built works in which he brings his research directly into practice. In 2023 he published the book Design with climate variables (FrancoAngeli) .
